As teachers begin a new calendar year and its promise of teaching and grading in cold, rainy, and even snowy weather, it can be a good idea to rethink how to approach students who may not be achieving their potential. We recently came across this essay by Wicked Teacher of the West, detailing her experience learning a new programming language at a summer workshop.
